Safety measures in place in Zambosulphide mine

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Oct. 2 (PNA Features) -– While typhoons with its rains and winds have ravaged mining sites nationwide, the same cannot be said of the multi-million peso gold-silver, sulphide mining project in Canatuan, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte. In a consolidated report provided the PNA, Company public affairs officer Rocky Dimaculangan said there has been no reports of any major incident in its past operations of its gold-silver mine and the construction of a sulphide mine complex expected to be completed before the end of this year.

Zamboanga City -- A nongovernmental organization has proposed reforesting denuded areas in the city’s watershed. The catch in the project is the group that calls itself the "Alternative Solution Advocates" proposed that consumers help pay for the project at about P5 a month.
